Vice President, Sales & Marketing Position
Our Client
Located in Carlsbad, CA; our client is a privately held corporation that specializes in printing and direct marketing with postcards. The company, which has a national customer base and brand identity, has an immediate opportunity for a Vice President, Sales & Marketing.

Vice President, Sales & Marketing position description and responsibilities
The successful candidate will bring the leadership, vision, business acumen, and marketing expertise required to lead the company’s sales and marketing organizations in a rapid growth environment.

Success in this position will be measured by the results of plans and programs which strengthen the Company’s market leadership, and through the achievement of aggressive market-share and revenue goals. The goal is to ensure that our client continues to be successfully positioned as the premier national provider of postcard products and solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Build on the Company’s current successful strategic marketing plan by providing the vision to enhance and expand this plan, perpetuating the company’s desired high-growth model.

Lead and develop a talented team of four department heads covering: Marketing, Sales, Creative, and Customer Service with overall responsibility for a combined staff of over fifty.

Expand on the Company’s existing capabilities in marketing research, and expand the knowledge base from the current 27 vertical markets covered.

Enhance and execute the overall Company e-commerce strategy.

Oversee Marketing Communications programs including: Direct Mail, Advertising, and Trade Shows, as well as guiding the alignment with strategic marketing partners.


Education and Experience
The ideal candidate is a proven senior marketing executive with substantial (10+ years) related experience, and an outstanding history of market development.

Our candidate must also demonstrate a history of utilizing strong organizational skills, entrepreneurial attitude, proactive leadership style, and excellent communication skills.

We require a Bachelors degree (Business or Marketing, a plus); and prefer an MBA or MA, (Marketing preferred).

We also require experience in marketing and direct marketing operations. Printing Industry experience and direct marketing with Postcards are also preferred.
